Annual Litter Pick – 1st March 2015

The annual village ‘litter pick’ organised by The Elton Society will take place this year on Sunday 1st March starting at 11am on the village green outside the Crown Inn. The ‘litter pick’ extends two miles on the road verges leading to the village. We have full practical support from Hunts. District council and the

Our village environment

Verges and village greens

The Parish Council takes pains to preserve the verges and village greens so that the whole village can enjoy them. They are used for May Day celebrations, and games by the young in the village e.g. rounders, football. Many verges have been planted under the guidance of one resident with daffodils.
