Sunday 2nd April 11am – 1pm

Help keep our village looking the way it should and join us on our annual litter pick.

All are welcome to help clear litter from the three roads that lead into Elton. This is an active, enjoyable social event.

Helpers to meet on the Village Green opposite The Crown Inn by 11am.  Teams will then be formed and allocated an area to work. Finish time is approximately 1pm.

All the necessary equipment (pickers, high-vis jackets, gloves) will be provided but you may want to bring your own gardening gloves.

BBQ food will be available outside The Crown Inn from 1.00pm onwards for any of the volunteers who wish to socialise.

We all know that litter breeds litter.  People are generally less inclined to drop litter in places where there is no litter present.  It follows, therefore, that keeping our neighbourhood clean will in itself help reduce the chance of further littering. Litter affects us all and communities are gradually realizing that if you want to get stuff done one of the best solutions is to do it yourself.

We are supported in this community action by Hunts. District Council, the local police and The Crown Inn.

This is an all age event, however parents are responsible for the safety of their children
