9. Street Lighting
All lights checked and quotes awaited following recent spate of vandalism.
10. Erosion of Greens and Verges
Cllr Elvin reported work should commence on 2nd March. Still waiting for additional posts to be put in.
Cllr Bense reported further damage to greens by HDC Refuse Collection vehicle. Letter to be sent to HDC.
11. Invitations and Requests
Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 – Cllr Bense will report back at next meeting.
12. Sibson – Aircraft Noise
Cllr Elvin reported still some minor infringements – requested that these continue to
13. Annual Litter Pick
Cllr Rankmore confirmed Mr Harris has everything in hand. Cllr Kirk suggested that this should perhaps be the last year that the litter pick is sponsored by the Parish Council. Cllr Bense made the suggestion that perhaps this should be an agenda item at meeting later in the year. At this point Cllr Rankmore left the meeting.
14. Footpath by Highgate Hall
This has become totally overgrown, verges have grown over edges of path. CCC have been notified and this has been put on their list. Cllr Elvin asked if Councillors would make a note of any paths around the village where work is required (paths disappearing under vegetation) – perhaps make this PC’s next project.
15. Reports from Councillors
Linda Porter had completed all paperwork in respect of Public Rights of Way and it was proposed by Cllr Elvin, seconded by Cllr Kirk, all in favour, for application to be sent off.
PCSO Barry Chamberlain talked us through list of Crimes/Incidents that had taken place between 18th December 2008 and 17th February 2009 in our area.
Cllr Bense – East Northants Planning Committee – Consultation on minor updates – will report back at next meeting.
Cllr Shrive – road around Highgate Green in state of disrepair – HDC to be advised.
Cllr Burgess reported to Cllr Porter re footpath near Mr Waterworth’s farm.
Cllr Elvin – Grass Cutting – agenda item for next meeting.
Cllr Elvin – School Lane car park – agenda item for next meeting.
